In early January 2022, I was really craving opportunities to meet new people. I organised a hike and posted it on my Instagram story, hoping to make some new friends who also liked hiking. Loads of people turned up – and Soul Stuff was born!

ABOUT US

Soul Stuff Adventures was founded in January 2022 by Sarah Casey, a Tipp woman now residing by the sea in Co. Clare. She is a trained primary school teacher, yoga teacher, Forest School practitioner and avid mountain enthusiast. She is currently a Mountain Leader trainee. Soul Stuff was born from a love of nature and adventure and Sarah recognises the benefits of being part of a community of people that share common goals – appreciating the simple joys of nature, fostering friendships, creating lasting memories in the outdoors and having a good laugh 🙂

HOW DID IT START?

It was January 2022. After two years of no travel and very little opportunities for new experiences, life felt like it was missing something. Having spent years travelling around the world, meeting new people, making friends and having countless new adventures, Sarah was craving new experiences and new connections. One day, she posted an open invitation on her Instagram story for anyone free to come join her and two friends on a last-minute hike to Coumshigaun the following day. She received so many messages from people interested in group hikes and realised many other people were feeling the same way.  Two weeks later, nineteen people showed up to hike together & Soul Stuff Adventures was born!

What began as a social hiking group has now transformed into an entire community of friends who adventure together, and the best part – most began as strangers.

The name “Soul Stuff” is something close to Sarah’s heart – in the last couple of years she has become very aware of the things that feel good on a deeper level, in her soul. Nature, being outside, movement, adventures, play, conversation, meeting new people, friendship, sharing food, belly laughing, being part of a community. To her, this is the stuff that is essential for well-being, and for the soul.

We hope you will join us on an adventure soon 🙂
